- Inhalte/Ziele/Details
- Exposed to English from an early age, many secondary students reach a high level of English. This online session is aimed at providing secondary school teachers with the tools and resources they need to increase their students’ English level and also helps them prepare their students to successfully pass the Cambridge First for Schools examination.
Throughout the session, we will explore the wide range of resources offered by Cambridge University, including both digital and analogue materials. Teachers will come away from this session with a selection of interesting activities and resources aimed at activating students’ curiosity and raising their level and awareness of what is required in the exam. These activities have been used successfully in the preparation of secondary school students for the Cambridge First for Schools exam and can be implemented immediately in the classroom. We will also explore what examiners are looking for in terms of speaking and writing production from the examiner’s perspective. Furthermore, we will look at tools that enable students to receive actionable feedback and develop greater autonomy in their exam preparation.
The session will help teachers become facilitators, allowing them to personalise learning pathways and focus on individual students’ needs, while at the same time empowering other students to become independent learners. Teachers will leave the session confident that the learning aims are aligned with Cambridge exam tasks and assessment criteria.
